Vestan's hidden talent will bring you into the dream.

What is Vestan hood hazushi?

Vestan has a lens hood on it.

You can remove it easily. The hole size in the hood is as large as the aperture size at aperture position 1(F11).

Make the aperture widely open without the lens hood. This technique is called "Vestan hood hazushi" in Japan. "Hazushi" means "removing" in Japanese.

The hole in the lens hood is for limiting aperture size. The Kodak engineers never wished to be used like this. But this unrecommended operation made Vestan as a legendary lens.
